Hannah Fawcett (she/they)

Artistic Director

Hannah is the founder of Struts & Frets Theatre Company. She is an actor, singer, and teaching artist with a focus on intersectional Shakespeare and classical texts, which she is so excited to bring to her work as Artistic Director of S&F. 

 

She has worked as an actor and teaching artist at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, ShakespeareAMERICA Institute, and the Oregon Center for the Arts. Her favorite roles at S&F include Imogen in Cymbeline and Rosalind in As You Like It, among others. 

 

She holds a BFA in Performance from Southern Oregon University, and is currently a Guest Artist at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Blair Cromwell (she/her)

Director of Education

Blair is a founding member of Struts & Frets. She has been with the company since its humble beginnings back in the woods. Blair is a teacher at Dallas High School.

 

She has taught at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival for over 20 years, Willamette University, Western Oregon University, and Children's Educational Theatre, to name a few. She has worked to develop statewide assessments through the Oregon University System and the Oregon Department of Education. 

 

Blair is a recipient of the Oregon Theatre Arts Association Rex Rabold Memorial Award for professional achievement, and Oregon Theatre Arts Association Melba Day Sparks Henning Award for the Oregon Hall of Fame for Extraordinary Achievement and Service.

Terry Kitagawa (he/him)

Actor/Director/Staff at Large

Terry is a recent member of the S&F team and he is exicted to see what comes next!

 

Terry is an actor, musician, and director. Most recently, As an actor, he has worked for companies like the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the 5th Avenue Theatre, Oregon Children's Theatre, and Stumptown Stages, to name a few.

 

Select directing credits include Assistant Directing for Mimi O'Donnell, Off-Broadway at 59 E 59 Theaters, and A Persistent Memory by Jackob Hofmann and directed by Jessi D. Hill at the Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row.

 

Terry holds a BA from Notre Dame De Namur University. He also attended the National Theatre Institute at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center.

Resident Company

Grant Hess (he/him)

Stage Manager

Grant is a founding company member of S&F.
Grant has been a part of S&F both on and off the stage. His last project with S&F was Anatomy of Gray which he stage managed. He last made an appearance in As You Like It, where he played Adam.
 
After he transitioned to the tech side and was the Stage Manager for S&F, Cymbeline. He is currently working with Dallas School District as he pursues his degree in Teaching. Grant holds a degree in Psychology of Creativity, Innovation, Teamwork and Leadership from Western Oregon University.

He loves integrating these skills into the arts.

Wyatt King (he/him)

Actor

Wyatt is an interdisciplinary artist born and raised in the Willamette Valley. He continuously strives to empower students' voices and create art with something to say. Here at S&F, he has appeared as Homer in Anatomy of Gray, Camillo in The Winter's Tale, and the evil parrot in Little Women.
 

Other performance credits include Dad in Greybeard Productions’ film â…ž and Brian in the Oregon Contemporary Theatre’s production of Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberley. Offstage credits include dialect coach for Valley Shakespeare’s production of Shakespeare In Love and directing i believe in a republic in which money has a great deal to say at Western Oregon University. He can also be found singing and dancing, devising original works, and playing the cello and alto saxophone.

 

Wyatt is currently a student at Western Oregon University pursuing a BFA in Acting and a BA in The Arts with concentrations in Music, Dance and Theatre Arts.

Claire Coulson (she/they)

Actor/Costume Designer

This is Claire’s 4th season with Struts & Frets, and she is once again ecstatic to get to work with an ensemble of such committed, talented artists.

 

Most recently, Claire played Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, following two live-streamed productions with S&F, Dear Brutus and A Christmas Carol. Prior to 2019, Claire was seen as Macy in The Cake at Pentacle Theater, and as Crystal in Little Shop of Horrors. This fall, Claire's next project is directing And Then There Were None at Gallery Theater in McMinnville.

Claire is a freelance artist, seamstress and actor.

Maddie Blanchard (she/her)

Actor/Choreographer

Maddie has been acting with Struts & Frets since their 2018 production of Cymbeline. She is an actor/dancer/educator/giggler/singer/clown, among other things. 

 

Her favorite credits include Amy March in Little Women (Struts & Frets), Minka Lupino in Murderers (Snowy Range Summer Theatre), and KHawk in Black Sky (Relative Theatrics). 

 

Maddie holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Western Oregon University.

Jeff Sanders (he/him)

Actor

Jeff is pleased to be continuing his association with Struts & Frets Theatre Company.


During their 2022 season he appeared in both Much Ado About Nothing and Anatomy of Gray. He has also appeared in their 2020-21 virtual season as well as Cymbeline in Cymbeline in 2018.
Jeff's most recent work with other companies has included the roles of Malvolio in Twelfth Night, Hugh Fennyman in Shakespeare in Love (both with Valley Shakespeare), Huckabee in The Fantasticks, Michael Evans in Dancing at Lughnasa, Alan in God of Carnage (all at Pentacle Theatre), the dual roles of Gordon and
Dwight in Dead Man's Cell Phone, and Hector in Full Frontal Nudity (for The Verona Studio). His work as a director at Pentacle Theatre has included A Christmas Carol, All My Sons, and Macbeth. He directed Danny and the Deep Blue Sea for The Verona Studio.
In 2019, Jeff won the AACT Regional Best Acting Award. He has been named a Lifetime Member of Pentacle Theatre.
