community focused venues

S&F began on a friend's farm in 2016. We were all under 20 years old, and had an insatiable need to speak powerful language together, playing with the words on the page and the world around us.

We did a reading of Twelfth Night that maybe 20 very supported audience members attended.

Once 2018 rolled around, we team up with Eola Hills and the rest is history. We strive to embody our beginning sense of play, rule and mould breaking, and taking apart the table of classic theatre, making a long table with room for all our friends, from different experiences and life experiences, creating space for lives that often get silenced at the family thanksgiving table. 

​

It is this sense of excitement and belonging that drives every story we tell. 

One of the biggest ways we celebrate this is by moving outside the standard Theatre Space. We build our own intimate theatre in every space we work in, focusing on the excitement of every space we inhabit at preshow, intermission, and post show. We will often try to use the unique architecture amd facets of a space in our storytelling to focus on the magic of every individual business we work with.

We have told powerful stories in restaurants, wineries, and farms. We love to highlight the uniqueness and importance of a space in our community. In simply partnering with local, similarly minded companies, together we are making a beautiful and invigorating home for local artists, committed to building this locale and spotlighting what makes a business vital to its community quilt.
