Martha Thatcher (she/her) - Lady Caroline Laney
Martha Thatcher is an actor, writer, and director based out of Los Angeles, CA. Her most recent credits include Hermia/Peter Quince with the Kingsman Shakespeare Company, Mango in Cabin 12: A Summer Camp Jubilee at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and Tilly Evans in She Kills Monsters at the Oregon Center for the Arts. Martha is a resident artist at the Montgomery Arts House for Music and Architecture, and recently completed a season as a member of the Acting Company at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. She is currently in production for Burn The Witch: The Series, an original urban fantasy series focused on centering femme and queer voices in the fantasy genre. Katie Herling (she/her) - Matey
This is Katie's first season with S&F, and she is trilled to get to work with this company! Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Katie Herling is an actor and educator whose hat currently hangs in sunny Los Angles, CA. As an educator, Katie has worked up and down the West Coast, from the California Shakespeare Theatre, to the Quinan Street Project, to the Kingsman Shakespeare Festival and beyond. As an actor, Katie was most recently featured as Puck in the Kingsman Shakespeare Festival's touring production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, Vera in She Kills Monsters at the Oregon Center for the Arts, and Clytemnestra in Elektra, directed by Penny Metropulos. Jeff Sanders - Will Dearth
Jeff is absolutely chuffed to be making his fourth appearance with Struts & Frets,
having played the dual roles of Richard Burbage and Henry Garnet in Equivocation and the title role in
Cymbeline. Most recently seen in Terrence McNalley’s Full Frontal Nudity for Verona Studio for which he
won the regional AACT Best Acting award. In his four decades of theatre in the Willamette Valley, Jeff has
directed and acted in productions by Shakespeare, Alan Ayckbourn, Molière, Arthur Miller, Sarah Ruhl,
John Patrick Shanley, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Frank Loesser, Rupert Holmes and many others. He
lives with his brilliant, supportive partner Christa and four amazing children and not nearly close enough to his
wonderful and supportive adult son, Michael.
Claire Snyder - Alice Dearth
This is Claire’s third production with Struts & Frets. Claire was most recently seen virtually in S&F's production of A Christmas Carol, and onstage in 2019 as Macy in The Cake at Pentacle Theater and Titania in Struts & Frets' A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She recently directed Enchanted April with Keizer Homegrown Theater, as well as costuming a variety of local productions at Pentacle Theatre and Gallery Theater. She is a local civil rights activist and the founder of the Sit-In Salem, focused on advocacy for BIPOC and the LGBTQ+ communities.
Jeff Baer - Lob
This is Jeff's 4th season with S&F. He has most recently appeared in A Christmas Carol with Patrick Page as The Stroyteller. He also appeared as Nick Bottom in S&F's A Midsummer Night's Dream. A 35 year veteran of the stage, Jeff's most recent professional credit is from Elsinore Theatre's production of A Christmas Story as The Old Man, in its original run in 2018, reprised for a 2nd run in 2019. Jeff is a Language Arts teacher at Dallas High School in Dallas, Oregon.
Nina Pamintuan (she/her) - Margaret
Nina is currently a senior at Southern Oregon University, studying to earn her BFA in Performance. This is her first production with S&F. Her recent credits include After Hours and Angels In America: Perestroika at the Oregon Center for the Arts. Other projects include voice over work for an Animal Crossings production of Cabin 12 at the Fresno Rogue Festival, and being in the acting company of the Juvenilia Collective.
Jeff Witt (he/him) - Mr. Coade
This is Jeff's third season with S&F, having appeared as Theseus in the 2019 production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Jeff has also appeared in many leading roles at Pentacle Theatre, including Valjean in Les Miserables, Archibald Craven in The Secret Garden, and Seymour Krelborn in Little Shop of Horrors. Jeff is a teacher at Central High School, where he teaches choir and theatre.
Jonah Thorpe-Kramp (he/him) – John Purdie
This is Jonah’s first season with Struts & Frets. Previous credits include Peter and the Starcatcher, She Kills Monsters, Gruesome Playground Injuries, and All’s Well That Ends Well at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. He received his BFA in acting at Southern Oregon University. Jonah is based in Los Angeles and spends much of his time playing pretend in various games of Dungeons and Dragons.
Maeve Martinez (she/her) - Mabel Purdie
Maeve is so excited to be revisiting Dear Brutus after performing and falling in love with it three years ago. She most recently performed in Santa Cruz Shakespeare’s Zoom series Undiscovered Shakespeare: The Wars of the Roses. Her other credits include Angels in America: Millennium Approaches and Perestroika (Harper), Spring Awakening (Martha), Dear Brutus (Emma Coade), and Pericles (Thaisa) with the Oregon Center for the Arts at Southern Oregon University. She is looking forward to sharing the magic of this play during a time when we could all use a little extra magic in our lives.
Katie Bullock (she/her) - Joanna Trout
This is Katie’s first time working with S&F and she couldn’t be more thrilled. Katie is a recent graduate from Southern Oregon University where she was seen in Elektra, Into The Woods, Angels in America, and others.
Grant Luecke (he/him) - Stage Directions
This is Grant's very first season with S&F, and he couldn't be more excited about it. On stage, he was last seen in As You Like It at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, but more recently he has done several narration/stage direction projects for the Ashland New Plays Festival podcast, Play4Keeps. Currently he is the podcast co-host of How to Podcast, and spends his free time playing dungeons and dragons.
Aaron Fawcett (he/him) - Coade
This is Aaron Fawcett's third year with Struts & Frets, although in the second season he was the unofficial pasta chef for the cast after rehearsals of As You Like It. He is a Language Arts teacher at Dallas High School and is excited to be working for S&F in a different capacity this time. Previous credits with S&F include directing As You Like It, Cymbeline and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Aaron has served as a director and choreographer for many shows at Dallas High School. He studied at Western Oregon University and was the proud recipient of an Irene Ryan nomination for his work in The Foreigner, a play that traveled to Alaska as part of the ACTF Kennedy Center Honors.
Maddie Blanchard (she/her) - Femme Understudy
This is Maddie’s 4th season with S&F! She was last seen on its stage as Tom Snout in S&F’s 2019 production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Her most recent credits include 29 and Asking Strangers About The Meaning of Life at the University of Wyoming - where she is currently pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre.
Emily Adela Loberg (she/her and they/them) - Understudy
Emily is excited to return to S&F after playing Hippolyta in the 2019 production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Her other recent roles include Julia in 1984 and Assistant Director Dashing Through the Snow, both at Pentacle Theatre. She has also performed in several other shows at Pentacle Theatre, The Verona Studio, Macalester College, and North Salem High School. Emily is a multi-modal transportation advocate, bicycle mechanic, and bicycle tour leader residing in Salem.
